Portugal thrashed the Czech Republic 3-1 to assure themselves a spot in the Quarter Finals in Euro 2008. Deco slipped one in during the early minutes, but the Czechs equalized via Libor Sionko. Cristiano Ronaldo reclaimed Portugal’s lead in the second half and then made a well timed run in injury time to feed Ricardo Quaresma for the third goal. In the second group A match, Turkey beat Switzerland 2-1 knocking the co-hosts out of the tournament. They must beat the Czechs for a quarter final spot.
