Andy Murray needed just two games to reach the third round of the Artois Championships when opponent Sebastien Grosjean retired with a groin injury. The two-time finalist at Queen's saved two break points in the opening game before double-faulting on the third to give Murray the lead. The play was then halted as Grosjean received treatment on court and eventually forfeited the match. It was Murray's first competitive ATP tour match on grass since the summer of 2006 after an injury-hit 2007.
