LDU Quito of Equador have won the Copa Libertadores beating Brazilian side Fluminense on penalties in a dramatic second leg final at the Maracana in Rio de Janeiro. The match ended 3-1 to Fluminese and 5-5 on aggregate after extra time. Quito held their nerve in the penalty shootout with their Brazillian opponents missing two of their first three penalties. This is the first Copa Libertadores win for Quito.
