Paul McGinley secured a record halfway total, to lead the BMW Classic at the Wentworth Golf Club in England. McGinley carded a round of 6 under 66 to help him to 13 under after round 2 of the PGA Championship. The Irishman bettered the previous best held by Ernie Els, Colin Montgomerie and Andrew Oldcorn. McGinley is four shots clear of Sweden's Robert Karlsson and Miles Tunnicliff of England. Meanwhile, India’s Jyoti Randhawa finished the day tied 20th with a total of 3 under.
